LCS SK-1 — 3D PRODUCT EXPLAINER

Turning a CAD model into an engaging product film through detailed 3D animation and clear feature callouts

Brief

Starting with a CAD model, we created a 3D explainer showcasing the LCS SK-1’s design and key features. The goal was to make a detailed technical product easy to understand, combining close-up visuals with animated explanations while maintaining a clean, engaging presentation

Direction

A minimal studio setting keeps the focus on the product. Camera movements transition between full-product views and close-up details, while selective transparency and wireframe overlays reveal individual components. Colour-coded callouts guide viewers through each feature, before the film returns to a complete product view and branded finish

Blender for materials, lighting, animation, and rendering, bringing the CAD model into a fully realised 3D presentation. After Effects for compositing and final finishing.
